Indoor Wheelchair Lifts
in Illinois, Wisconsin, & Indiana

Mobility issues can create concern in safely navigating a residential or commercial property. According to a study by the Office of Policy Development and Research Multidisciplinary Team, less than 5% of homes in the United States are accessible. Wheelchairs open up an entirely new set of challenges for those looking to easily move around their homes. Instead of worrying about accessibility, choose to move comfortably with an indoor wheelchair lift.

Rest assured, DME Elevators & Lifts installs, repairs, and maintains both residential and commercial indoor wheelchair lifts to ensure you are supported for years to come.

Indoor Wheelchair Lift Installation Services

Also known as vertical platform lifts, indoor wheelchair lifts are safe and affordable and work like an elevator without the high price tag. Using state-of-the-art technology, these reliable wheelchair lifts will get you from level to level without worrying about any obstacles that might cross your path.

Residential Indoor Wheelchair Lift Features

Platform

Our residential vertical platform lift is a steel-constructed platform available in multiple sizes. The lift features a grab rail with a non-skid platform surface. The steel of our residential lifts is powder-coated with a variety of color options available so you can match your lift to your home.

DME Elevators & Lifts’ residential wheelchair lifts come with a constant pressure switch and hall call control station at each landing. In case of an emergency, an optional telephone and emergency lighting can be installed.

When it comes to doors and gates, an upper landing gate is standard. For unenclosed low-rise applications, a folding hinge ramp is ideal. For taller applications, a platform gate is the most common.

The platform configuration of an indoor wheelchair lift typically utilizes a screw drive or a hydraulic drive. Screw drives will typically operate at ten feet per minute.
